Qualified with a Masters in Advanced Composition from The Royal College of Music in London, Julene Siddique writes for contemporary classical music ensembles as well as film, theatre and dance. She is a talented Pianist, Violist, Guitarist and Vocalist and often performs in her own soundtracks.
She takes a great interest in world music and is more and more incorporating elements of varies types of world music in her writing. She also is very enthusiastic about music with narratives relating to social and cultural issues. The influence of this on her writing can be heard explicitly in her new anti-racism symphony entitled 'Colors Are Not Black And White'.
